Practice Information for Young PSC Works

Updated: 05/05/2026

This page is intended to clarify how services are structured across psychotherapy, forensic evaluation, and consulting. Because each area operates differently, expectations, roles, and boundaries are outlined here to support clarity at the outset.

Scope of Work

Services are provided across three primary areas:

Each area carries distinct expectations, levels of confidentiality, and forms of communication. These differences are addressed prior to the start of any professional engagement.

Communication

By contacting Young PSC Works via text (413-286-8022), you consent to receive informational text message responses related to your initial communication.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Reply HELP for support.

Confidentiality

In psychotherapy, information shared is treated as confidential, with limited exceptions required by law, including circumstances involving risk of harm, abuse, or neglect, or legal processes such as court orders or subpoenas. In these situations, efforts are made to protect confidentiality to the extent permitted by law.

Forensic and consulting services operate under different conditions. These services are not confidential in the same manner as psychotherapy, and information may be shared with referring parties, courts, or other designated entities, depending on the purpose of the work. These parameters are clarified in advance.

Service Distinctions

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy involves understanding patterns, relational dynamics, and how experiences are organized and carried over time. The work is depth-oriented and attentive to context and meaning, while remaining grounded in what brings someone in.

Forensic Evaluation

Forensic services are not therapeutic in nature. They are conducted for legal or administrative purposes and require objectivity, documentation, and communication that may be shared with third parties.

Consulting & Organizational Work

Consulting services focus on systems, leadership, and organizational functioning. These services do not establish a clinical relationship.

Boundaries

Clear professional boundaries are maintained across all services. Dual roles (e.g., serving as both therapist and forensic evaluator for the same individual) are avoided.

Use of This Website
